Holly Hintz is a devoted mother and a grandmother, balancing the demands of family life with her career and volunteer work. She’s the proud mom of five children, ages 12, 14, 17, 20, and 22, and is excited to be a grandmother to a 2-year-old grandson, with a granddaughter on the way. Family time is her favorite way to unwind, and she cherishes every moment spent with her loved ones. Outside of her family responsibilities, Holly works as a Commercial Credit Analyst, where she enjoys the challenge of working with numbers.
Her journey to becoming a CASA board member is deeply personal and rooted in her own experiences growing up. “I had a rough start, learning many hard lessons along the way,” Holly reflects. Through determination and hard work, she built a better future for herself and, most importantly, her children. “The primary goal was always to give them a life I never had,” she shares. Now that she has achieved that goal, Holly feels it’s time to give back to the community that helped her along the way. This led her to CASA, where she has served on the board for nearly two years. For her, the experience has been incredibly fulfilling and meaningful.
Her connection to CASA began years before she joined the board. As a mother of five, Holly has always felt a strong connection to children. She recalls seeing CASA billboards and thinking how much she’d love to volunteer. However, at the time, her life simply didn’t allow for it. “I didn’t have the capacity to serve as an advocate,” she says. Then, a coworker mentioned the opportunity to join the CASA board, and everything clicked. “It was the perfect way to support CASA’s mission in a way that fit my life,” she says, and so she took the step to get involved.
The most gratifying part of Holly’s CASA experience, she says, is knowing she is part of an organization that supports dedicated and compassionate individuals. “Hearing the stories from our volunteers about the difference they’re making in children’s lives is incredibly inspiring,” Holly shares. “It reminds me every day why this work is so important.” For Holly, it’s not just about the organization itself, but about the powerful impact CASA has on the children it serves.
She is passionate about CASA because of the profound difference it can make in a child’s life. “It only takes one person to change a child’s life,” she believes. Through CASA, children gain that one consistent, caring adult who can make all the difference. “When a child knows someone truly sees them and believes in them,” Holly says, “it empowers them to believe they matter and that they can be the change in their own story.” This is why Holly continues to serve, committed to CASA’s mission of helping children in need and making a lasting, positive impact in their lives.
