CASA, STEP, and the MT DOC are excited to offer a Reentry Simulation that showcases the journey of a released inmate toward self-sufficiency, highlighting barriers that lead to helplessness and reduced self-efficacy. Participants will assume the role of ex-offenders and perform tasks over four 15–20-minute sessions, each representing a week. By the end, they will have simulated a month in the life of a recently released inmate, encountering challenges in fulfilling court obligations and daily life. The simulation emphasizes how navigating “the system” impacts resilience and recidivism.
Training is open to the public – for more information email sherri@yellowstonecasa.org or register at https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/ruw3763.
